This is a script that uploads entire folders of files to the Team Fortress Wiki from the command line. This is especially useful for projects with large amounts of files, such as paint preview tables, as it is less error-prone and much faster than doing so manually.
This script can also be used on other MediaWiki hosts by changing the location of the API in
Developed and tested on Python 3.8, but should work on any version of Python 3.
Clone this repository or download and extract the .zip archive.
pip install -r requirements.txt to install the dependencies.
Create a file named
settings.conf on the basis of
settings.conf.example, and edit accordingly.
upload.py. The script will look for files in the
uploaddirectory, and then move them to a directory named
doneonce the upload is complete.
File textis the initial page text for new files.
Commentis the upload comment. Also used as the initial page text for new files if text is not specified.
Uploaded new painted variants of the item.
